Easy to transport
The PortaBote can be folded, which gives it a height of 11cm (4 inches) and a width of 59 cm (24 inches), the size of a surfboard. This, combined with its low weight, makes it easy to transport and store.
Transportation by car:
The PortaBote can be transported with virtually every car, without adaptation on the roof of your car (only a sheet between the boat and the roof). This means no trailer, or pickup with heavy rack are necessary anymore. You will also drive much more comfortably with the PortaBote on your roof than with a trailer, or aluminum boat on your roof. You can even drive to the destination with great speed. So wherever you go with your car, the PortaBote can always be taken along. And this without a lot of heavy lifting, blood, sweat and tears. You can take it with you, even if you are not sure if you will use it.
Transportation by airplane:
The PortaBote can also be transported abroad by airplane. This means you are no longer dependent on people and boats which might, or might not be available at the place of destination. You can sail wherever and whenever you want!!! The transport costs are also relatively low due to the light weight of the boat. It is also possible to attach the boat to one of the floaters of a seaplane.
Transportation by boat:
By boat, too, you can bring your folded PortaBote anywhere you want. It will not take a lot of value space.
Transportation by camper:
The PortaBote is ideal for camper owners. We provide special clamps which makes it possible to attach the PortaBote at the side of the camper as well. Wherever you go, the PortaBote will go with you.
Transportation on foot:
Have you ever had to drag a boat through the woods? With the PortaBote it´s as easy as pie. It is also possible to go by boat to those waters which are only reachable by foot! Unfolded, the PortaBote can also be pulled along easily behind you on the Porta Dolly transport wheels.
Where, when, and however you go, the PortaBote can always come along!!
