Due to the light weight and strength of the PortaBote it can truly be let into the water, and taken out of the water, at any location. You will not be dependent on a hill or sloping water side, but you can let it into the water anywhere. Where and whenever you want!!!
And what about the many obstacles in the water which have to be crossed, such as waterfalls, tree trunks, rocks, sandbanks, etc. The PortaBote can be pulled through them without much effort, and can even be hoisted out of the water easily, so as to let it into the water again further on.
