The PortaBote can be used everywhere. For example:

  • The sea, with waves to up to 2 meters
    Due to the hull´s unique shape (with stabilizers), the PortaBote is a boat suitable for the sea. It is therefore also used extensively on sea by professionals and holiday-takers.
  • A lake with tree trunks and other obstacles in the water.
    Due to its flexibility, and the strength of the polypropylene hull, the boat is able to resist a collision with a tree trunk or rock.
  • A fast flowing river with rocks, boulders and rapids.
    Due to the flexibility of the boat, the fact the boat lies very shallowly in the water, the light weight, the fact it is wear-proof, and its ability to absorb shocks, the boat is very suitable for these harsh conditions.
  • Creeks with fallen trees and branches in the water.
    Due to its light weight, it is easy to hoist the boat over obstacles and, if necessary, to carry it over land.
  • Shallow waters and sandbanks.
    Due to the fact that the PortaBote lies very shallowly in the water (11 cm), it is possible to navigate shallow waters, which means you can remain in the boat for a longer time.

It is even used in very extreme places such as:

  • The tanks of large tankers.
    An American sanitation company uses the PortaBote to clean the tanks of large tankers inside. These are full of chemicals, which the PortaBote is resistant to.
  • Antarctica.
    The American army has stationed several boats on Antarctica. The PortaBote can resist the most extreme circumstances.
  • A lake at the top of the Mount Everest.
    A British air force unit has taken the boat to the top of the Mount Everest. The PortaBote goes everywhere!
  • Water bodies with large crocodiles.
    An Australian crocodile hunter uses the PortaBote to catch crocodiles. He too has the greatest confidence in the quality of the PortaBote.
